Moreover, the company claims that the Indian National Congress, violating the Copyright act, used two songs of KGF in its Bharat Jodo Yatra. Furthermore, on the complaint of M Naveen Kumar, the business partner of MRT Music, Cong’s Rajya Sabha MP Jairam Ramesh and party’s social media and digital platforms chairman Supriya Shrinate have been booked, including Rahul Gandhi as the third accused.

As per the information, the FIR, which references the Copyright and Information Technology Act’s provisions as well as IPC sections 120b (criminal conspiracy), 403 (dishonest misappropriation of property), and 465, Rahul Gandhi is listed as the third accused (forgery). The complainant claimed,”athey used the music in their promotional videos without getting our consent. They presented it as if it was their own creation.”

Furthermore, as per the legal experts, not just illegally using the song in the Bharat Jodo Yatra but marketing Rahul Gandhi using that song, adds it to two type of violations. Moreover, as the news broke in, the IT cells of the contending parties, especially the BJP, have actively started questioning and trolling the Congress party on the matter.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra is a more than 3,000 km of pad-yatra by the Congress party under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, focusing on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, as well as the assembly elections in 2023. Subsequently, as claimed by the party, this “yatra” is a turning point for its performance, which would be reflected in the coming days in the assembly elections in Karnataka.
