A Delhi Court has finally allowed the Punjab Police to formally arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. The Delhi police today presented gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in Patiala High Court. As per the tweet by news agency ANI, “Sidhu Moose Wala murder case: Delhi Court allows Punjab Police to formally arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in the case.”
Though, the transit remand application submitted by Punjab Police is still under consideration, says Delhi Court, as tweeted by ANI.
Reportedly, Delhi Police Special CP HGS Dhaliwal said, “Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is thd mastermind behind the murder of Moose Wala. The Maharashtra Police is given a 14-day police custody remand of Mahakaal ka Siddhesh Hiraman Kamble, a close associate of one of the shooters, but he’s not involved in the killing.”
“Lawrence Bishnoi is the mastermind, we can’t share further details on how he was involved. Our efforts are underway to nab the remaining accused,” he further added. (Source – IndiaTV)
Though Lawrence Bishnoi’s advocate Vishal Chopra opposed the Punjab police’s demand seeking gangster Bishnoi’s custody. “We have apprehension that Lawrence Bishnoi may be killed in a fake encounter in Punjab. We are not opposing any virtual interrogation, but any physical remand,” said Chopra during the hearing in court, as quoted by news agency ANI.
As of now, the transit remand application submitted by Punjab Police is still under consideration, but the HC has allowed the Punjab police to arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.
Renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was brutally shot dead on May 29, after which, Goldy Brar – Canada based gangster, claimed the responsibility for his murder. Claiming the responsibility in a post on social media, Goldy Brar had written that he and Lawrence Bishnoi group is behind the murder.
