BJP Vs AAP On “Rewari” Culture, Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia Slams The BJP

The “revari culture” has been a trending term across the social media and news channels across the country since PM Modi’s statement on freebies. Though the prime minister didn’t name any party or politician, it’s speculated that he was referring to the Aam Aadmi Party.

Since the PM’s remarks on freebies, calling it a “revari culture”, the Aam Aadmi Party has been continuously slamming the BJP. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party claims that the real “revadi” is the one the BJP gives to a few “dost” (industrialists), calling it “dostwaad”, and that the AAP is giving various free facilities to the people which they deserve.

The Aam Aadmi Party believes that the free facilities are the rights of the people as they pay the taxes. Slamming BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party stated that instead of providing free five star facilities to the MLAs and Ministers, the Aam Aadmi Party believes in giving free facilities to the public, which is their right.

In a press conference on Friday, Manish Sisodia, the deputy CM of Delhi, claimed that while the Delhi government runs social programmes for millions of individuals, the BJP employs the “dostwaad model of governance,” where it grant loans and tax exemptions totaling thousands of crores to its selective “friends.”

“BJP’s ‘dostwaadi’ government thinks waiving taxes worth ₹5 lakh crore and loans worth ₹14 lakh crores for its super-rich “dosts” would bring progress, but giving free education and healthcare to the people will destroy the nation,” said Mr. Sisodia.

This comes after Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Finance Minister, in a press conference on Thursday, accused the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of “trying to create a sense of worry and fear in the minds of the poor.” She was here referring to Mr. Kejriwal’s claim on the financial situation.
