Bade Miyan Chote Miyan And Maidan Fail First Monday Test: Collection Below 50 Crores

What was feared happened at the box office! Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and Ajay Devgan’s ‘Maidan’, both released on the occasion of Eid, have failed miserably in the first Monday test.

Compared to the opening day, the earnings of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ have declined by more than -84% on Monday, while the earnings of ‘Maidan’ have also fallen by -66%. As things stand, now only a miracle can save both these films from flopping.

There has been a lull at the box office since the release of the superhit ‘Shaitan’. The expectation was that both these films being released on the Eid holiday would do wonders.

But it has to be said that this time the lack of Salman Khan has cost the ticket window a lot. Despite the four-day extended weekend and Sunday holiday after Eid, both these films have failed to woo the audience.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

According to the report of sacnilk, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, has done a business of only Rs 2.50 crore on its first Monday on the 5th day.

This film had earned Rs 15.65 crore on the opening day. In this way, there has been a decline of more than -84% in the earnings on Monday as compared to the first day. Whereas compared to the Rs. 9.05 crore earned a day earlier on Sunday, there is a decline of more than -72% in the earnings on Monday. This action film has collected a net of only Rs 43.30 crore in the country in five days.

Maidan

On the other hand, the condition of Ajay Devgan’s sports drama film is worse. This film, which did a business of Rs 4.50 crore on the opening day, has done a business of only Rs 1.50 crore on the first Monday.

This film, made under the direction of Amit Sharma, was already earning less, hence further decline in earnings during working days is a very bad sign for the film. ‘Maidan’ has so far collected a total of only Rs 23.50 crore in five days.
