Congress Chintan Shivir: 2 Coaches Booked, Rahul Gandhi & 40 Leaders Will Travel by Train To Udaipur

After the closing of the Prashant Kishor chapter in the Congress party, the grand old party is all set to organize its “chintan shivir” in Rajasthan. As per the sources, more than 500 Congress leaders from all across the country, will be taking part in the “chintan shivir”, where the Gandhis and the entire CWC will be interacting with the party leaders and discussions will be held on several important issues, to set a roadmap to strengthen the party.

As per the internal sources of the Congress party, its former national chief and MP Rahul Gandhi, along with 40 other Congress leaders will travel on a train from Delhi to Rajasthan’s Udaipur for their party’s three-day chintan shivir (brainstorming session) from May 13. Two train coaches have been booked for Congress leaders to travel for the session, where a new road map for the party’s revival ahead of the 2024 national election will be discussed.

The train journey has been planned as part of efforts of the Congress leadership to connect with the people. Congress has been criticizing the government over inflation, and the rise in prices of fuels & essential goods that impact the common people the most.

Along with the country’s economic situation and relations with neighboring countries, party’s organizational, electoral, and political challenges will also be discussed at the session as Congress has faced defections as well as electoral defeats in the recent assembly elections.

This becomes more important as it’s believed that in July-August, the internal elections for the Congress national president post will be held, and as per the sources, majority of the Congress leaders want Rahul Gandhi to again take over the reins of the party.
