Daler Mehndi Reacts To Sidhu Moosewala’s Murder! Suggests Govt To Take Action Against Violent & Gun-Culture Songs

Popular Indian singer Daler Mehndi has given his vocals to various superhit and evergreen songs. But currently, he is making headlines due to his latest comments and statement on Sidhu Moosewala’s murder.

Sidhu Moosewala was murdered in broad daylight on 29 May 2021. This news shook the nation and left all the Moosewala fans disheartened. Various artists from Hollywood, Bollywood and Punjabi industries expressed their condolences for the same. The news also became a hot topic of discussion on national media platforms, and in one such discussion, Daler Mehndi had a conversation with India Today.

In the discussion, Daler first stated that he has not listened to any song by Sidhu Moosewala so he cannot say much about it. He then said, ‘But I knew he was extremely popular as his fan following was massive.’

Daler Mehndi mourned the death of the superstar singer but also went on to say that he thinks Punjab and other state governments should keep an eye on songs. Daler said the government should know what their singers are delivering in the songs. He also said that the government should take strict action against singers who make songs with gun culture, violence, mention of drugs or disrespecting lyrics to women.

The reports of ABP also stated that Daler Mehndi believes the filtration of songs will surely benefit the artists and avoid such unwanted gang wars. The singer believes that the state government should invite all the singers and warn them of making any violent songs. And if someone disobeys the same, strict actions should be taken.
