Jodi is by far the most awaited Punjabi Movie at the moment. The movie stars Diljit Dosanjh and Nimrat Khaira in the lead roles and it has been directed by one of the most renowned directors of the industry, Amberdeep Singh. It had even been officially announced to release on 24th of June but owing to the closure of theatres and various other restrictions due to the second wave of COVID-19, it couldn’t happen.
And from that day, the movie’s been postponed indefinitely and the audience are awaiting it. Amberdeep Singh, the director of the movie, recently uploaded an instagram story to share something about the film Jodi with his fans.
According to him, although Jodi has been postponed, the day it releases, all the movies released after it for at least 10 years will be compared to it. In other words, Jodi will mark a historical film in the books of Punjabi industry forever and the movie after it will be judged on the basis if they are as good as Jodi.
He also added that Naresh Kathooriya has learnt how to come live on instagram and now, the team will be coming live occasionally and revealing stories about the shooting of Jodi. What hard work went behind creating the film, what mistakes were made and how they were corrected, everything will be shared.
Amberdeep had earlier asked the audience to book 3 important dates when theatres were declared open. Speculations are that one of those dates is reserved for the much awaited ‘Jodi’. It is still a suspense when Jodi will release but one thing is for sure, this movie won’t disappoint.
