The ongoing Farmers Protest has got such hype on social media, that everyday a new video is floating and going viral from the protest. Recently a video went viral on Twitter and other social media platforms which show a water tanker running over two protesting women. The video was disturbing and hence went viral on social media in no time.
Immediately after the video reached masses, people started dropping their opinions about the same. Some said it was a video from the Delhi rally and an intentional act by BJP, while others said the protesters aren’t safe even for themselves also.
But what exactly was the true fact nobody knew. But from the recent report of Alt News, we came to know that both the assumptions made about the video were wrong. As the video was not from Delhi, but Amritsar from the protest rally held on 26th January. When the driver of the water tank was arrested it was found that Shuklal Singh (driver) didn’t have a driving license and was a small contractor and hence he decided to drive the tanker himself. But while driving he lost control and ran over protestors. He is held under the section 304(Punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 427 (Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of IPC.
