FIR Registered Against Deep Sidhu For Using Derogatory Statement

Punjabi artist Deep Sidhu who was earlier grabbing the limelight for the Red Fort incident is again hitting the headlines for his derogatory statement. An FIR has been registered against Deep Sidhu by the City Police Commissionerate on Tuesday for hurting religious sentiments of the Valmiki and Ravidas communities.

Further, the case was registered following a complaint by head of the Guru Ravidas Tiger Force, Jassi Talhan. Not only this, Jassi Talhan and other community members have demanded immediate arrest of Deep Sidhu.

When he came live on Facebook on October 1 and had allegedly used derogatory words against the Valmiki and Ravidas communities in a video. The video was posted by the actor on his Facebook profile and it went viral on social media.

And for now, cops at the Baradari police station have started investigation based on the statements of the complaints after registering a case under Section 3 (1) SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and the IT Act among other sections against Sidhu.
