2014 में मूवी बनके तैयार हो चुकी थी , पर रिलीज़ नहीं हो पाया और फिर फाइनली OTT प्लेटफार्म पर इसे रिलीज़ किया गया। घूमकेतु – नाम बहुत इंटरेस्टिंग है , शुरुवात में रोलर कोस्टर राइड के सपने जो आप देखेंगे वो 15 मिनट में ही टूट जाएंगे। अच्छी स्टारकास्ट ,अच्छा प्लाट पर शायद डायरेक्टर और राइटर पुष्पेंद्र नाथ मिश्रा को कुछ और ही करना था। यह साहब वही है जिनकी ताजमहल 1989 आपने नेटफ्लिक्स पर ज़रूर देखी होगी , और हाँ वो इससे ज्यादा बेहतर है। बस इस बात में कोई दोराय की नवाज़ुद्दीन ने अपना काम बेहद ईमानदारी से किया है। शरीर के कमज़ोर और मज़बूत हौसले की कहानी का नायक , पूरा इंसाफ अपने किरदार के साथ.
तो मूवी की शुरुआत होती है उत्तर प्रदेश के एक गाँव – महोना से. दद्दा (रघुबीर यादव ) के घर में जनम होता है घूमकेतु(नवाज़) का , बुआ (इला अरुन ), एक सौतेली माँ , विधायक चाचा (स्वानंद किरकिरे ) और एक बीवी (रागिनी खन्ना ) जिसे हमारी फिल्म का नायक सामूहिक विवाह के कार्यक्रम से लेकर आते है. चिकचिक करने वाला बाप – लाड प्यार से बिगाड़ने वाली बुआ , नापसंद करने वाली सौतेली माँ और दोस्त जैसा चाचा , फॅमिली ड्रामा आपको कहीं कहीं पर हँसा सकता है। बृजेन्द्र काला जिन्हे मैं तो उनके पान सिंह तोमर में रिपोर्टर वाले रोले से ही जानता और पसंद करता हूँ , वो भी अपना काम बढ़िया तरीके से करते दिखेंगे. स्टोरी नब्बे के दशक के गाँव , सिनेमा और आम जीवन के आसपास है। और दूसरी और कहानी एक और असफल पुलिस कर्मी बदलानी की जिसने पद्रह साल से एक भी केस सॉल्व नहीं किया पर रिश्वत बरोबर खायी है। स्टोरी के सबसे बढ़िया किरदार की दुर्गत कैसे की जाए वो देखा जा सकता है इस मूवी में।
स्टोरी के बाद बात एक्टिंग की , TVF पंचायत में प्रधान जी के पति के किरदार को जितना बखूबी निभाया उतना ही बखूबी रहा रघुबीर यादव का किरदार दद्दा यानि घूमकेतु के पिता। स्वानंद किरकिरे – बहुत की उम्दा एक्टिंग। इला अरुण (संतो बुआ ), इनकी डकार पूरे गाँव में फेमस है , ऐसी की अगर आ जाए तो बच्चे रोने लगते है, जानवर भाग जाते है और पड़ोसियों के सर में दर्द हो जाता है।वैसे इस मूवी का एक अच्छा पार्ट था रज़ाक खान (फ़य्याज़ टक्कर – अखियों से गोली मारे फेम ), और ये इस लिए क्युकी फिल्म की शूटिंग 2014 तक कम्पलीट हो चुकी थी और रिलीज़ से पहले ही उनका देहांत हो गया.
अब हमारे हीरो यानि धूमकेतु को बनना है राइटर और वही पूरी फिल्म में हलके फुल्के पर बहुत बुरी एडिटिंग के साथ दिखाया गया है। किस किस तरीके की फिल्में होती है , और राइटर को इंस्पिरेशन कहा से मिलती है बस इसी में फिल्म ख़तम हो जाती है , वो पार्ट सब ज्यादा ईग्नोर्ड रहा वो था घूमकेतु और बदलानी का , और यही फिल्म मात खा गयी. बतौर व्यूअर मुझे वही खला। मूवी बार बार फ्लैशबैक में चली जाती थी जिससे कन्टीन्युटी पर असर पड़ता है। मूवी में जितने ज्यादा कलर है (घूमकेतु कॉस्टूयम ) उतनी ही ये मूवी ब्लैक एंड वाइट(फ्लैशबैक ) में चलती है।
रणवीर सिंह और अमिताभ बच्चन साहब आपको गेस्ट रोल में नज़र आएंगे। सोनाक्षी गेस्ट रोल में भी उतनी नज़र आती है जितनी मेनस्ट्रीम में।
तो अगर आप फैन लव में ये मूवी देखना चाहते है तो ज़रूर देखे , वरना ये मूवी मिस सीरियल किलर के टक्कर की है।

Before the final release on the OTT Platform, Ghoomketu was already completed in 2014, but could not be released. Though the name of the movie is quite interesting, the roller coaster ride of your interest will break down in the first 15 minutes only. This film has a good plot with amazing star cast but its writer-director Pushpendra Nath Mishra had something else in his mind to do. He is the person whose film, Taj Mahal 1989, you must have watched on Netflix. And do believe that was much better than this one. No doubt, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has done a tremendous job to perform this character. His dedicated and hard work for the film and his character can be seen in his acting.
So, the movie starts in a small village Mahona, where Ghoomketu (Nawaz) is born in Dadda’s (Raghubir Yadav) house. And other characters the film includes are loving Bua (Ila Arun), one stepmother who actually hates him, friendly and Vidhayak Chacha (Swanand Kirkire), and a wife (Ragini Khanna). Overall, this family drama can make you laugh at some points. Brijendra Kala, well known for his acting in Pan Singh Tomar has performed his character really well and in a very impressive manner. The story of the film revolves around the decade of 90’s villages, cinema, and life of common people. And also, on the second hand, the story highlights the life of bribed policemen Badlani who hasn’t solved any case in the last 15 years.
And now coming to acting after the story, Raghubir Yadav has succeeded in impressing us in this film after his TVF released Panchayat, and Swanand Kirkire deserves a thumbs up too. Also, this film has a beautiful part that is Razak Khan’s acting, because this film was completed back in 2014 and Razak Khan died before the release of the film.
In the film, lead Ghoomketu wants to become a writer and this film tries to portray the same with really disappointing editing. This film starts and ends with explaining what are the different types of films and also from where the writers get his inspiration. Also, we really didn’t like the fact that the movie has a number of flashbacks, which somehow leads to break the continuity of the story. The story of the film is as black & white as colorful Ghoomketu’s costumes.
Other than all this, you will see Ranveer Singh & Amitabh Bachchan in guest appearances, and Sonakshi appears as a guest equally as she does in a mainstream character. So, if you’re still eager to watch this film for the sake of your fan love, then you may. But otherwise, this film is a complete disaster and competition for Miss Serial Killer.
