There is no denying that getting inked is very much in trend these days. While some have flaunted funky tattoos, others inked someone’s name. Getting tattooed permanently is a big deal as it is going to be with us our entire life.
So, recently, we got to know that Bollywood actor Harleen Sethi, who made headlines for her looks and acting, has got herself inked lately. The ‘Mundeyan Ton BachKe Rahi’ actress took to social media and shared a reel where she can be seen getting inked. Not only this, she penned a long heartfelt note which undoubtedly won our hearts. Harleen belongs to a Sikh family but was born and brought up in Mumbai, so she stayed far from her roots and language. But when she realized that it’s never too late for anything, she dug into her religion and learned Gurmukhi.
She wrote her journey in the caption, which reads, “Nirbhau Nirvair
निरभऊ निरवैर (Without fear) (Without hate) It’s what I wish to live by. Also as a Mumbai ki Mulgi I never really accepted my roots, rather always ran away from it as a kid so I could be ‘cool’ .. but as they say it’s never too late, so I just got it engraved on me in Gurmukhi and now it goes with me to my grave.”
Harleen said being a Sikh wasn’t just a religion for her, but a way of life. “Today I’m bloody proud of who I am and where I come from and I intend to start right from my roots to go right up.. Satsriakal,” she further added.
The actress has worked in films like Love Bites, Broken But Beautiful and never misses any chance to engage with her fans through social media. Now, she has made a way into people’s hearts and encouraged many of her fans with her deep post.
