Here’s Why Mumbai Court Has Issued A Summon To Salman Khan And His Bodyguard

Dabangg actor Salman Khan has once again landed into legal trouble. Salman along with his bodyguard Nawaz Shaikh has been summoned by a local court in Mumbai. The complaint was filed by a journalist in connection with a dispute in 2019.

It happened when Journalist Ashok Pandey contended that Salman Khan had snatched away his mobile phone while cycling on a Mumbai street when some media persons started clicking his photos. He further added that Salman Khan had entered into an argument with him and then endangered him.

While the journalist and his cameraman were dialing 100, Salman Khan’s bodyguards returned their phones. Pandey said he approached the court because the police disposed of his complaint, saying that no crime was made out.

But later in September 2019, the court had appointed the police to register an FIR against the actor and his two bodyguards. Due to this, the court has summoned Salman Khan for offenses under IPC sections 504 and 506 (criminal intimidation), ANI reported.

Now, it has been noted that the court issued process/summons and posted the matter for further hearing on 5 April 2022.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the Rajasthan High Court had approved permission for two petitions to be transferred to it from the Jodhpur District and Sessions court. In these two petitions, his 1998 blackbuck poaching case has been talked about in which the actor is an accused.
