Furthermore, the Congress party slammed Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann over the matter, questioning if he would take any action against his friend, singer R Nait for promoting gun culture in his newly released song.

Notably, Congress MLA and senior leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira, in a tweet, slamming Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann, stated, “I wonder if CM Mann would take any action against his singer friend R Nait for promoting gun culture in his video released a couple of days ago? Because CM had announced banning & action against such singers who motivate youth to indulge in violence leading to law & order problems.”

However, the chief minister didn’t reply to Mr. Khaira’s tweet yet. Though it will be interesting to see how the state government reacts to Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira’s remarks and what action is taken against R Nait. The opposition in Punjab had been continuously demanding the state government to take strict action against the increasing number of shootouts, after which, the decision to ban firearms in songs and other popular media was taken.

What Was The Decision?

As per the information, not only banning the usage of firearms in songs and other popular media, the official notice by Punjab government asserts that carrying a weapon at a place of worship, a wedding, a party, or any other public gathering will result in swift punishment, immediate action would be taken.
