Post the news of removing blue ticks from notable Twitter accounts; the internet is flooded with memes. And now, one of the greatest personalities and Bollywood’s Big-B, Amitabh Bachchan, left netizens in splits with his tweet.
The list of names whose blue tick got off included Amitabh Bachchan too and following the same, he tweeted on his account: “Hey Twitter Are you listening? Now I have given the money too… so that blue lotus is there, right, put it back brother, so that people know that we are the ones – Amitabh Bachchan. I am folding my hands, should I fall at your feet now?”
Amitabh Bachchan requested that his blue tick be restored and stated in a humorous tweet that he had paid the subscription fees also.
Other Bollywood celebrities who lost their blue tick were Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Parineeti Chopra, and Alia Bhatt.
Due to the same, politicians like Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, among others, have also lost their verified blue ticks from their Twitter accounts.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan recently recovered after an injury while filming Project K in Hyderabad. This bilingual movie was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. Prabhash and Deepika Padukone also appear in essential roles in the film. Moreover, we will soon see Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Section 84 movie directed by Ribhu Dasgupta.
