Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is the head of social group Dera Sachha Sauda (DSS) and is currently jailed for life imprisonment for raping two women and murder of a journalist Ram Chanader Chhatrapati.
But even after he was jailed, his impression on his followers remained constant. As per recent reports, Ram Rahim has received more than 25,000 Rakhis in the last 19 days. And it is expected that more Rakhis are on their way to reach him in the central jail. This number i.e. 25,000 Rakhis is similar to the number of rachis Ram Rahim received in 2019. In 2020, there was a fall in the Rakhis he received which was probably because of the global pandemic COVID-19.
He is very popular and has been an actor, singer, songwriter, religious leader, and much more before he was punished by imprisonment. He has worked in and released some movies, and songs which were all written, produced, directed by him and also featured him. His filmography includes a total of 5 released movies which are, MSG: The Messenger, MSG 2 The Messenger, MSG: The Warrior Lion Heart, Hind Ka Napak Ko Jawab:- MSG Lion Heart-2 and Jattu Engineer.
