The money laundering case of jailed conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar is still a hot controversy in town. And the recent update on the case is a defamation case filed on Jacqueline Fernandez by Nora Fatehi. And now, Jacqueline’s lawyer has officially released statements on the same.
In the plea, Nora stated, “Jacqueline sought to criminally defame me in order to destroy my career for her own interests, as we both work in the same industry and come from similar backgrounds.” Surprisingly, Nora alleged that since Jacqueline took her name in the matter, she lost the brand deals and shows!

But Jacqueline’s lawyer Prashant Patil has reacted to the same and revealed that his client has been conscious and has always avoided making any public comments on the case.
In an interview with ETimes, Prashant Patil said, “Jacqueline has not made any statement in front of any electronic or print media against Nora or for that matter, any other person. She has consciously avoided talking about the Enforcement Directorate proceedings. Till date she has maintained the sanctity of law and because the matter is subjudice she has always avoided to speak in front of print and social media. Having said that, we have not received any official copy of the suit filed by Nora. Once we receive an official confirmation or an order of the Honourable Court, we will respond to it legally.”
Not only this, but Prashant also said that Jacqueline respects Nora Fatehi and has no intention of defaming Nora. He said, “My client has the utmost respect for Nora. There definitely has been some sort of miscommunication. Quoting anybody’s reply, filed before an adjucating authority, is a matter of pure judicial proceeding. Any statement made during the course of arguments made before a judicial proceeding cannot be quoted in the public domain, the way it has been quoted now. My client has no intention to defame Nora or for that matter anybody else.”

For the unversed, the actress Nora Fatehi has accused Jacqueline Fernandez of defamation. Nora alleged Jacqueline of “making defamatory imputations about her for malicious purposes”.
Both Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi are involved in Sukesh Chandrashekhar’S money laundering case. And now the two are making headlines for this new controversy between them.
