“Jersey” Shoot Wraps; Shahid Kapoor Pens a Heartfelt Note

Actor Shahid Kapoor has finally wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming film Jersey. The superstar took his Instagram handle and shared a heartfelt note.

He wrote: “It’s a film wrap on #jersey …. 47 days of the shoot during covid. Just unbelievable. I am so proud of the entire team. It’s nothing short of a miracle. I want to thank each and everyone from the unit for coming to set every day, putting themselves at risk, and doing what we all love doing. Telling stories that touch hearts and make a difference. Jersey is a story that speaks of a Phoenix rising from the ashes. The triumph of an indomitable spirit. If there was ever a time I could connect with the underlying spirit of a film this was it. As we all fight through this pandemic. Let’s always remember. This shall pass too. Here’s to my best filmmaking experience yet. Here’s to Jersey … we shall overcome !!!! @gowtamnaidu @mrunalofficial2016 @geethaarts @amanthegill @srivenkateshwaracreations”

The picture showed Shahid, standing with his back to the camera, inside a flood-lit stadium.

Due to COVID19 the film’s shoot was stopped in mid-March and resumed after 6-7 months.

Sports drama movie Jersey is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name. The Hindi version is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Actor Shahid Kapoor is seen as a failed cricketer named Arjun, who decides to make a comeback in his late thirties and play for India, to fulfill his son’s wish. The film has been shot in Uttarakhand and Chandigarh.

We are super excited to watch the film, we hope it hit the theatres soon.
