Punjabi film Mastaney was released on 25 August 2023. Helmed by Sharan Art, this film stars Tarsem Jassar, Simmi Chahl, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol etc. Mastaney is a very intense and historical film based in 1739 when Nader Shah’s Army Undefeated army was attacked by sikh rebellions.
Nader Shah demanded their arrest but could not do so. 5 ordinary men were called upon to become the sikh rebellions who learned about Sikhism in their journey.
It’s been one week since the film got released and undoubtedly, it has left an everlasting mark on the silver screens. The rich history of Punjab and Sikhism, and how they stood up for their rights is rightly depicted in the film.
