Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani hit the big screens on July 28. Helmed by Karan Johar, this Bollywood romantic comedy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt had a unique story to it. The duo switch sides and live with each other’s parents for sometime to know the families better. Alia and Ranveer’s pairing is much loved by the audience as they both are bubbly, funny and quite dramatic.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani gets an underwhelming response from fans as the opening collection on day 1 was ₹11 crore. Fans were pretty excited about the film however the day one response was quite so so.
The film geared up its wheels on the second day as it managed to collect Rs 16 crore on Saturday. The second day of the weekend saw a sufficient growth in the collection.
Third-day collection of the film improved and the Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh starrer made ₹19 crores on Sunday. Day 3 of the film saw some hope and took the total earning of the film to around ₹46 crores. The film is expected to cross ₹50 crores on Monday.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani did not have a blockbuster opening as expected. Despite having a star studded cast of Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan and many more the film did not fare well in its initial days.
