The renowned personality of Bollywood Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has delivered his amazing performances in the OTT projects, is now disappointed from the digital world. What is the reason for his sudden disappointment with the platform and why is he quitting it?
Nawazuddin Siddiqui feels that OTT has now become a dumping area for the unwanted shows which are either the shows that cannot be watched first handedly or the sequels to the shows which have nothing left to say anymore. Nawazuddin finds the OTT shows unbearable now, “When I can’t bear to watch the shows, how can I bear to be a part of them?”

Siddiqui has done the high rated show on the digital platform, Sacred Games which is one of the most successful one OTT shows so far. Apart from it, he has also featured in several movies and other shows but now is the time when he decided to back out from the digital space. He even blamed Bollywood for the same. “When I did Sacred Games, there was an excitement and challenge and the freshness was alive. Now we have so-called stars on OTT claiming a large amount of money and behaving like the Bollywood A-listers & throwing tantrums. Yeh Star System Bade Parde Ko Kha Gaya.”, said Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
He also expressed his disappointment by saying, “Times have passed when stars used to rule and when movies were released on the big screens. People had no other option than visiting the theaters and watching the movies. Now they have unlimited options and choice to consume entertainment. Bollywood producers are getting a whopping amount to create unlimited content. Quantity has killed quality. Sab Dhanda Hai. They have forgotten that Content is the King.”
Nawazuddin’s digital debut was with ‘Sacred Games’. He further went on to do movies like ‘Raat Akeli Hai’, ‘Ghoomketu’ and ‘Serious Men’ which garnered an amazing applause and love from the viewers. Nawazuddin has now bid his farewell to the OTT platform and is only looking forward to the big screen releases.
