Punjab: 3rd Arrest From Haryana In Sidhu Moose Wala Murder Case

The Punjab police, on Sunday night, arrested one more suspect from Haryana’s Fatehabad in Sidhu Moose Wala murder case. Earlier Devendra aka “Kala” has been arrested from Fatehabad on the basis of the inputs that Kala was the one who accommodated – Keshav and Charanjeet, the two suspects in Moose Wala case, in his house.

Two other suspects were earlier nabbed on June 3 by Punjab Police. Now Kala’s arrest is the third in this case. Moose Wala’s brutal murder has brought a wave of shock and sorrow amongst his fans from all across the globe. He was amongst the 424 VIPs whose security was scaled down by the Punjab govt, though during the hearing of a plea filed by former deputy CM OP Soni in Punjab & Haryana HC, the Punjab govt stated that the it was a “temporary step” and the security of the 424 VIPs would be restored from June 7.

Though the investigation is going on and Punjab police has been arresting the suspects, the opposition is demanding to transfer the Moose Wala case to the central agencies. Senior congressman and leader of opposition Partap Singh Bajwa has demanded the Punjab govt to transfer the case of Moose Wala to either NIA or CBI. Partap Singh Bajwa tweeted:

“I urge Punjab CM @BhagwantMann to transfer the Sidhu Moosewala murder case to CBI or NIA so that justice can be delivered to the family at  the earliest.”

As quoted by news agency ANI, Bajwa said, “It has been brought to my attention that the request for a probe by a sitting Judge has been rejected by the High Court. Keeping this in mind, I urge you (Bhagwant Mann) to transfer the case to the CBI or NIA for several reasons.”

In the letter written to CM Bhagwant Mann, LoP Partap Singh Bajwa wrote, “Moose Wala’s murder is a national loss. A fair and impartial probe is needed in the case, which would lead to the investigation within the borders of Punjab and the other states too.”

The AAP govt of Punjab is continuously facing criticism over the scaling down of the security of 424 VIPs including Sidhu Moose Wala, as a day after the security was curtailed, the renowned Punjabi singer Moose Wala was shot dead.
