Sidhu Moosewala Honored With Dada Saheb Phalke Iconic Award! Afsana & Saajz Receive On Late Singer’s Behalf

Sidhu Moosewala is a name that has earned love, respect, honor, awards, and international recognition. We are sure we all have at least one Sidhu Moosewala song in our playlist. He had a stardom that no one can possibly surpass. And that’s what has always made him stand apart. 

Though Sidhu Moosewala has broken various musical records with his chartbuster songs, his name is continuing to win more after his untimely demise. Recently Sidhu Moosewala, posthumously has been awarded with Dada Saheb Phalke Iconic Award. 

The award was received by Afsana Khan who shared a brother-sister bond with Sidhu and her husband Saajz. The duo went on to the stage, accepted the highly acclaimed award on the behalf of Sidhu Moosewala

Afsana was also requested to sing a few lines from any Sidhu Moosewala song, and the singer chose to sing a chunk from Sidhu’s viral song 295 and also performed his signature thigh-five (thaapi).

Afsana took it to her Instagram account and shared the video of the same. And in the caption, she also quoted, ‘Legends Never Die’. 

Dada Saheb Phalke Awards are the highest awards in the field of cinema in India. These awards are recognised as massive achievements. 

It was on 29 May, when Sidhu Moosewala met his death. He was shot dead by then anonymous shooters when he was driving near Mansa. He died on the way to the hospital and the news left his fans shattered.
