Recently a controversy of Sidhu Moosewala firing from an AK-47 was in trend, for which FIR was also filed against Sidhu and 5 policemen. Recently police have added Sections 25 & 30 of Arms Act in both FIRs. The case involved the use of official service weapons of Punjab Police and violation of lockdown.

The case was all about a viral TikTok video of Sidhu Moosewala, in which he is being taught the use of AK-47 by policemen. The policemen involved are Sub Inspector Balkar Singh, Head Constables Gagandeep Singh and Gurjinder Singh, Constables Jasvir Singh, and Harwinder Singh and three others, Karam Singh Lehal, Inder Singh Grewal and Jang Sher Singh. One more FIR was filed against Sidhu within 24 hours of this case for another video, in which he is seen firing from his private pistol al Laddai Kothi shooting range surfaced.
Providing the updates of the case SSP Sangrur Sandeep Garg said, “We have added 25,30 of Arms Act in the FIR registered against Moosewala and others for violation of Arms Act. We are conducting thorough investigation of the case. After we added Arms Act in FIR, now it’s non-bailable, while earlier it was bailable offense.”
Also, the DGP had ordered the immediate suspension of Daljit Singh Virk, DSP Sangrur for disrespecting his powers and responsibility.
But, Patiala IG, Jatinder Singh Aulakh directed both Sangrur and Barnala SSPs to depute SP- rank officers for better investigation of the case, last week.
