It looks like the upcoming and much-awaited web series The Family Man 2 has been involved in a recent controversy. There is no doubt in the fact that season 2 of The Family Man has raised the level of excitement among the fans ever since after the release of its first season.
Recently the Tamil Nadu Government has asked for a ban of this upcoming web series.
Mano Thangaraj, the IT Minister of Tamil Nadu sent a letter to Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and stated that ‘depicts the Eelam Tamils in a highly objectionable manner’. He wrote,
“I would like to state that the above serial has not only hurt the sentiments of Eelam Tamils but also the feelings of the people of Tamil Nadu in large-scale and if allowed to broadcast, it would be prejudicial to the maintenance of harmony in the state”
They also aren’t in favor of the release of the series because they feel it was aimed at discrediting and distorting the historical struggle of Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka.
It’s also because Tamil actress Samantha will be playing a terrorist and they believe it will be a direct attack on the pride of Tamils.

The release of The Family Man 2 was already postponed as earlier it was scheduled for a release in February 2021. But now Amazon Prime Video has announced the official release date for it i.e. June 4th.
The trailer of the same is out on YouTube and is earning loads of love from the fans.
