A viral video on social media crossed every limit of animal cruelty one could imagine. A man, namely Taranjot Singh Bath, from village Khaspur in Patran division of Patiala district of Punjab, filmed himself shooting a dog to death with his 12-bore gun.
Actress Mansha Bahl was one of the few celebrities who shared the video on their social media handles, condemning the cruel act. But Patiala Police was swift in their legal formalities. The action was soon taken against Taranjot and now he has finally been arrested by the Police.
Bollywood actress Mansha Bahl and an associate manager of the Emergency Response Team of PETA, Meet Ashar, brought the matter forward and demanded strict legal actions against the man in question.
After Mansha’s post, the video went viral all over social media, several celebrities condemned the heartless incident. Animal rights activist, Meet Ashar, updated the public later in the day, that DSP patran notified him that the man has been taken into custody and soon be formally arrested.
The dead body of the dog has also been recovered and exhumed, as informed by Meet. It will soon be sent to the jurisdictional government veterinarian for post mortem.
