In the fest of film announcements, a new title is making its entry every passing day. 2021 is already a big year with a number of titles already announced, and the list keeps on increasing. The latest entry to the list is Big Punjabi title ‘Thana Sadar’. By revealing the First Look of the Kartar Cheema starrer on social media, the team made the official public announcement.

The film has been produced by Balkar Bhullar under his production company, Bhullar Motion Pictures. It’s direction department has been handled by renowned director Vikram Thori. Happy Rode is the writer of the upcoming film.

Few days ago, Vikram Thori had officially announced that 3 big titles are on their way. One of them was ‘Thana Sadar’ and today, the official announcement is finally here. The shooting for the film was started when everything was put on halt, during the time of Lockdown.

Vikram Thori revealed through the announcement post that the shooting for the film was held in the coldest month of the year and the whole team has worked extremely hard even in the times of Lockdown, to make Thana Sadar possible.

The official announcement of the Kartar Cheema starring title has caused a buzz in the industry. Kartar Cheema has already won the hearts of Punjabi cinema fans through his performances in the movie Sikander and Sikander 2 and now, is all set to repeat the same in Thana Sadar.

The announcement has been made but the release date has not yet been revealed. With COVID-19 causing theatre uncertain shutdowns at any time of the year, the platform of release is also a big question, will it release on an OTT platform or in theatres?
