IPL 17: Top 5 Batsmen Who Scored The Fastest Centuries In The IPL Matches

T20 cricket is considered a batsman’s game. Here, everything from the rules to the pitch are in favor of the batsmen. This is the reason why run rains are seen.

This has been happening in the IPL since the beginning. In the 2024 season, Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Travis Head scored a century in just 39 balls. This is the fourth fastest century in IPL history. On this occasion, we are going to tell you about the top-5 batsmen who scored the fastest century in the league.

Chris Gayle- 30 balls

Chris Gayle of West Indies holds the record for scoring the fastest century in IPL. While playing for RCB in 2013, he scored 175 runs at Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In that match against Pune Warriors, Gayle became the batsman who scored the highest score in T20 cricket. Till date, Gayle holds the record for scoring the fastest century in T20 cricket.

Yusuf Pathan- 37 Balls

Yusuf Pathan achieved this feat against Mumbai Indians while playing for Rajasthan Royals. He is the only Indian among the top-8 batsmen to score the fastest century in IPL. However, even after his century, Rajasthan lost against Mumbai in that match of the 2010 season.

David Miller- 38 balls

For Punjab, David Miller scored a century in 38 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013. Because of this innings played on Mohali ground, he got the name Killer Miller. Punjab, which lost 4 wickets for 64 runs in the 10th over, achieved the target of 191 in that match in just 18 overs.

Travis Head- 39 balls

Travis Head’s name has been included in this list. Australia’s opener scored a century in 39 balls against RCB. At one time he was playing after scoring 16 runs on 12 balls. But he completed his century by scoring 85 runs in the next 27 balls. Head remained unsold the previous season.
