Amar Singh Chamkila: Twitter Review Of The Imtiaz Ali Directorial Starring Diljit Dosanjh And Parineeti Chopra

Amar Singh Chamkila has finally been released on Netflix. Let us tell you, Amar Singh Chamkila was a great singer of Punjab.

Amar Singh Chamkila, who made people crazy with his singing in the 70s and 80s, was shot dead in 1988. It has been 36 years since the death of this legendary singer, but the mystery of his murder has not been solved yet.

However, Imtiaz Ali has woven the story of his film not around the unsolved mystery of Amar Singh Chamkila’s death but around his journey from 1979 to 1988.

Diljit Dosanjh has played the character of Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali’s film. He has done an amazing job. Looking at his acting, it seems as if he knows Amar Singh Chamkila very closely.

Perhaps it felt so because Diljit himself is from Punjab and is connected to the soil there. Not only this, he is also a singer and like Chamkila, he has traveled from the floor to the top.

Imtiaz Ali tried to keep the story of this film close to reality and haven’t made it like a documentary. But the film has definitely worked to keep the fans connected to the film by using old videos of Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur.

Not only this, Imtiaz has used only Amar Singh Chamkila’s songs in the film. The good thing is that he has not tampered with Chamkila’s songs even a bit.

Here is the Twitter Review of the film-
