UK Based Man Puts Up Himself On Billboard. Says ‘Save Me From Arranged Marriage’

A 29 year old UK based bachelor Muhammad Malik advertise himself on billboards in search of a wife. The entrepreneur can be seen smiling as he jokingly asks to be “saved” from an arranged marriage in billboards that have popped up across the city and in Manchester.

But so far the search has proven fruitless for the London-based bank consultant who hopes a specially set-up website – findmalikawife.com says that it will change his luck. Since putting up the adverts a few days ago, Mr Malik says he has had hundreds of messages expressing interest.

According to the BBC, it has been revealed that he hasn’t had the time to look through it yet. He says , “I need to set some time aside – I hadn’t thought this part through.”

He has tried many aspects to meet with women before putting up a billboard but nothing has worked out. When asked about the idea, he said, one of his friends suggested he should literally advertise himself. Mr Malik explained: “I thought ‘why not – what’s the worst that can happen’?”

Meanwhile, the billboards, set to remain up until 14 January, have the backing of the family, with his parents ‘down from the beginning’. Although he confessed, “I had to convince my mum a bit.”

Mr Malik said his ideal partner would share his Muslim faith and be able to “keep up with the bants” with his family.
