Joe Biden, the President of the USA, has been trolled across the social media over a mistake in his speech on protecting the women’s reproductive rights. Reportedly, he was reading the speech from a teleprompter, where he made the mistake.
During his address, he said, “It is noteworthy that the percentage of women who register to vote and cast a ballot is consistently higher than the percentage of the men who do so- ‘end of quote, repeat the line’. Women are not without electoral and, or, political-let me be precise: not and, or-or political power.” This “end of quote, repeat the line” was to direct him, which he mistakenly read out.
After his address, people across the social media started mocking him. As people started trolling him, Emilie Simons, the assistant press secretary at the White House, tried to give it a different angle, claiming that president Joe Biden said, “let me repeat the line,” but this cover-up doesn’t seems to be working.
Greg Price, a senior digital strategist, tweeted:

Though the assistant press secretary at the White House, Emilie Simons, tried her best to somehow cover-up president Biden’s gaffe, the netizens have started mocking and criticizing Joe Biden all across the social media platforms. Though his supporters are defending him, claiming he was saying “repeat the line” so that the others could join him.
