Gangsta Boo, former Three 6 Mafia rapper, passed away on Sunday.

According to Fox 13, Gangsta Boo aka Lola Mitchell, was discovered dead on Sunday afternoon at about 4 p.m.

Cause of her death hasn't been made public but as per TMZ the rapper's death appears to be drug-related.

As per TMZ, Gangsta was with her brother on the night of January 1  at a local concert in Memphis.

Boo's death scene insists narcotics were found on her person & that a fentanyl-laced substance is believed  to be at play.

The police are launching an official investigation & an autopsy  will be done.

Gangsta Boo was a pioneer of female rap and was one of the most popular rappers of the 2000s.

Gangsta Boo officially started her music career in the '90s.

Along with her solo tracks Gangsta was also featured on Three 6 Mafia's first 5 studio albums.

Boo left Three 6 in the early 2000s, but went on to have a notable career thereafter until she died.
