Will Smith Posted an apology video on YouTube for slapping Chris Rock.

He slapped Chris on the live TV broadcast of the Academy Awards, 2022.

Audiences around the world watched Smith anger onstage after Rock made a joke about Will's wife's short haircut.

Smith went on to win the best actor Oscar for his outstanding role in King Richard.

But days later after the incident, he resigned from the Academy, which then banned him for 10 years from its events.

Smith said in the video, "Chris, I apologize to you…my behavior was unacceptable & I am here whenever you're ready to talk."

"I reached out to Rock & was told that the comedian is not yet ready to talk," Smith added.

Will was seen quite emotional in the video while apologizing to Rock.

Hours after the worst slap, Smith had written Rock an apology on Instagram.

Will also apologized to Rock's mother Rose & brother Tony, once a good friend of his.
