Diljit Dosanjh undoubtedly is one of the most loved and trending artists in the Punjabi Film Industry. And lately the actor is maintaining his name in news headlines for doing Chamkila’s biopic. The project will be a Bollywood movie based on the life of Punjabi folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila & is being directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali.
While there was no official announcement for this much-awaited and already-in-hype project, Diljit Dosanjh has now confirmed the same. Not only this, Diljit has also released some official details about the film.

In a recent interview with Film Companion, Diljit Dosanjh revealed the shooting of Chamkila’s biopic will start on 9 December. Also, Diljit unveiled that the music of the film has been completed and produced by the legendary musician AR Rahman.

Talking about the film’s director; Imtiaz Ali, Diljit Dosanjh revealed that Imtiaz is extremely serious about the project. He said that the director sends him a new email every day that has details about Amar Singh Chamkila.
Also, Diljit interestingly revealed that he used to think that being a Punjabi he knows more about Chamkila but later he got to know how serious Imtiaz Ali was about Chamkila and the film.

Now coming to the details of this upcoming and very anticipated Bollywood biopic, Diljit Dosanj beat Kartik Aaryan and Ayushmann Khurrana to bag this role. The film’s director Imtiaz Ali also had a meeting with Amar Singh Chamkila’s son Jaiman Chamkila to discuss his late parents.
