Who isn’t a fan of Diljit Dosanjh? He is the man who rocked the music charts with his Punjabi songs and went on to rock in Bollywood too. Not only this, but Diljit also turns out to be a brilliant natural actor who has entertained us through various Punjabi and Bollywood movies.
He definitely has amazing projects in his kitty and one of them is reportedly an upcoming Bollywood biopic based on the life of Punjabi folk singer Chamkila. The film is being helmed by Imtiaz Ali and will feature Parineeti Chopra opposite Diljit Dosanjh in the leading role.

Though the film’s team has not made anything official with announcements, they have been teasing fans with hints every now and then. Recently Diljit Dosanjh took it to his Instagram account where he shared a picture and a video on his gram story.
In the stories, Diljit Dosanjh is seen flaunting his new look for his upcoming movie. Though he did not mention the project name, fans speculate it is for Chamkila’s biopic. We can see Diljit Dosanjh in a Royale beard style, and on comparing it to Chamkila’s pictures, the two look very similar.
Since Diljit has not given a green flat indicating it is actually for Amar Singh Chamkila’s biopic, the fans are eagerly waiting for the artist to make the announcement official.
Earlier also, Diljit shared some pictures on his official Instagram account in which he was seen posing with cinematic and musical legends Imtiaz Ali and AR Rahman.
The pictures made fans wonder if this meeting is also associated with the upcoming biopic on Amar Singh Chamkila. Diljit continuously teasing fans and sharing such posts might be a big hint that Chamkila’s biopic is on floors and its production has finally begun.

Now coming to the details of this upcoming and very anticipated Bollywood biopic, Diljit Dosanj beat Kartik Aaryan and Ayushmann Khurrana to bag this role. The film’s director Imtiaz Ali also had a meeting with Amar Singh Chamkila’s son Jaiman Chamkila to discuss his late parents.
