‘Soorma’ starring Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role had Angad Bedi as Diljit’s elder brother. Angad was one of the pivotal characters from the movie, whose wife’s role was played by Jasmin Bajwa. So, eventually this was how Jasmin Bajwa and Diljit Dosanjh were connected. They both performed the role of on-screen brother-in-law and sister-in-law in Soorma.
Jasmin’s character Meenakshi Singh was the wife of Bikramjeet Singh (Angad Bedi) aka Sandeep Singh’s brother. However, Jasmin has a limited screen appearance in the movie but she did a great job in that too.
Soorma, released in 2018, is a sports drama biopic based on the hockey player Sandeep Singh. It emerged out to be a commercially successful film and was appreciated by the audience too.
