After the recent allegations against Ranjit Bawa for having connections with the Drug Dealer Gurdeep Rano Case, the singer has decided to come out in public to offer his official clarification on the issue.
The Special Task Force, which arrested the international drug dealer Gurdeep Rano has been requested by Advocate Ashok Sareen Hicky, Vice President of BJP Punjab Yuva Morcha, to launch an investigation against Ranjit Bawa following the singer’s pictures with the drug dealer.
Now, the singer has opted for the social media route to offer his official public clarification on the accusations by Ashok Hicky. Ranjit Bawa began the statement by calling himself a supporter of the Farmers’ protest from day one and will continue to always be.
He defended himself on the allegations for taking photos with the drug dealer by saying that the public loves him and likes to click pictures with him, he doesn’t ask for character certificates of all those who click pictures with him.
He further went on to add that if the fight against drug mafia is to be led, cases should be filed against people like Adani. Ranjit Bawa also mentioned his 5-year old song on Drugs. “The whole Punjab and Punjabi Community knows who’s what”, added the singer.
The singer thanked all his supporters for showing their support for him. Ranjeet Bawa has had a history of being involved in legal complaints for his controversial songs, but this time, the matter involved connections with the Drug Mafia. Nothing can be said till the Special Task Force offers an official statement after the completion of investigation.
