Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher have been granted high-end security by the government of Maharashtra. The updates came recently and have already marked a place in various news headlines.
The name of Salman Khan already created a massive buzz when the Lawrence Bishnoi gang threatened to kill him. The death threats to Salman Khan were then followed by more threats to his family and lawyer Hastimal Saraswat.

Salman was provided with strict police protection on the orders of the Maharashtra government. But now his security has been upgraded with Y+ Security, hence he will have four security personnel with him at all times.
Not only this, but Salman Khan had also applied for a weapon license in July following the regular death threats by the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang. The threats started making headlines after the brutal murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

Lawrence Bishnoi in the questioning concerned with Sidhu Mosoewala’s murder had opened up about his community’s desire to kill Salman Khan. HGS Dhaliwal, Special Commissioner of Special Cell stated, “During interrogation, he candidly said that since the Bishnois consider the blackbuck to be the reincarnation of their religious guru, Bhagwan Jambeshwar also known as Jambaji, acquittal or punishment from the court will not be the last verdict for him. He also said the actor and his father either tender a public apology in Jambaji temple or the Bishnois will kill them.”

On the other hand, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher have also been granted type X security. While the reason behind Akshay Kumar’s security is the massive criticism and hate towards the actor for his Canadian citizenship.
And Anupam Kher is also facing harsh criticism and threats after the release of The Kashmir Files.
While talking about the same, a government official stated, “Security is upgraded or degraded by the state and centre based on threat perceptions. For example, as a result of recent life threats to businessman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambanis, their security was upgraded to Z+ from the Z category, and their other family members received Z security.
