Fact Check: Truth Behind Viral Video Claimed To Be Of Sidhu Moosewala’s Murder

Sidhu Moosewala was murdered by unknown assailants at village Jawaharke, Mansa, Punjab. CCTV footage was made public that showed the alleged assailants tailing Sidhu’s Thar in a Corolla and Bolero. Apart from that footage, another video has now started doing rounds of social media, which allegedly showed Sidhu’s murderers openly firing!

The viral video shows a group of people standing beside a Bolero car, openly firing at someone. The clip does not show who the fires are actually targeted at. The clip also shows one of the alleged assailants carrying an assault rifle and firing with it. Many on social media has claimed the video to be of Sidhu Moosewala’s murderers and the assault rifle to be ‘AN94’, the gun that was allegedly used to kill Sidhu Moosewala.

However, truth is something else. The video that is circulating on social media has no connection to Sidhu Moosewala, his murderers or the tragic incident. It is actually a scene from a popular web series called “Shukla The Tiger”. The series is available on OTT platform MX Player.
