Watch Any Movie In Theater For Only 75 INR On 16 September! Here’s Why & How

On 16 September, you can watch any movie in Indian theatres for only 75 INR. Yes, you read that right. Tickets will only cost you 75 rupees on 16 September. But why? Actually, 16 September is celebrated as National Cinema Day in India. And to celebrate the big occasion, cinemas across the nation have come together to treat the cinema fans.

The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) on Friday announced that cinemas across the country have joined hands to offer a celebratory admission price of ₹75 on 16 September. 

It stated, “National Cinema Day will be held at more than 4,000 participating screens and will include cinema screens of PVR, INOX, Cinépolis, Carnival, Miraj, Citypride, Asian, Mukta A2, Movietime, Wave, M2K, Delite and many others.”

Reportedly domestic hits films like KFG: Chapter 2, RRR, Vikram, Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and Hollywood hits like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness attracted the masses to the cinema halls.

Hence the one-day discount is also a thank-you gesture from the cinema chains for the audience. “It celebrates the successful reopening of cinemas and is a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers who made this happen. National Cinema Day is also an invitation to those who haven’t made it back to a cinema near them, yet.”

To enjoy the benefits of the discounts, people need to keep a check on the official information shared by different cinema chains. If you buy the tickets in physical form from the counter, it will only charge you 75 rupees. But, third-party apps like BookMyShow and PayTM might charge you the old price with additional charges included.
