Surprisingly, the Hycross hybrid has claimed fuel efficiency of 21.1kpl. The Innova Hycross and the Zenix, which was unveiled in Indonesia, have nearly identical appearances. With an upright grille, a higher bonnet line, and body cladding all throughout, Toyota has given the Innova a more SUV-like design for the next generation. The MPV’s width is highlighted by the wide front bumper with silver highlights, automated LED headlights, and gunmetal-finished hexagonal grille.

The new Innova Hycross has a powerful shoulder line, wide wheel arches, and a characteristic MPV shape from the side. In fact, it resembles the Veloz MPV that Toyota sells in some foreign countries. Moreover, Toyota also made changes to the glasshouse close to the D-Pillar to give it a fashionable rear quarter appearance. Likewise, the Innova Hycross’s rear end features a roof-mounted spoiler, large LED taillights, a number plate housing with a scoop, and a blacked-out back bumper.

The redesigned Hycross has a huge glasshouse, similar to the Crysta, providing good visibility for all three rows. It becomes bigger, with 10-spoke wheels that are chrome-finished for a more upscale appearance. The Hycross is slightly larger than the Innova Crysta in both length and width at 4,755mm and 1,850mm, respectively. The new Innova Hycross is also 100mm longer in terms of wheelbase.

Interior And Variants:

Talking about it’s interior design, the Hycross’ interior is a total change as compared to that of the Crysta’s. It features a multi-layered dashboard with horizontal lines, and while it has a distinctive appearance, several components such as the steering wheel and semi-digital instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch MID display, are reminiscent of the Voxy MPV which has been sold overseas for a long time!

Moreover, the enormous 10.1-inch floating touchscreen, which flows down to the rectangular AC vents and stack of HVAC controls, is something significant and unique here. Additionally, soft-touch leather and chrome accents are added to the dashboard. Similarly, the Hycross’ dashboard-mounted gear lever console is another brand-new feature. The interior of the Innova Hycross features a brown and black dual-tone design with Dark Chestnut leather seat upholstery.

Notably, the Hycross is available in five different variants, with Toyota adding extras like paddle shifters, linked car technology, ventilated front seats, a nine-speaker JBL audio system, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and a motorised tailgate to the higher-end models. The new Hycross also features a sizable panoramic sunroof, a first for an Innova.

Seating Arrangement:

The Innova Hycross has seating arrangements with seven and eight seats. Two captain’s chairs with first-in-segment ottoman features are provided for the middle row of the seven-seat layout, while a bench seat is provided for the third row. On the other hand, the second and third rows of the 8-seat configuration include benches. All passengers will have three-point seatbelts thanks to Toyota.
