Hyundai:

The company does offer a 7-seater version of its well known model Alcazar. However, it is, nevertheless, more expensive for some customers. To overcome this hurdle, Hyundai may introduce its cost-effective MPV, the Stargazer, to the Indian market. Notably, priced between ₹10-15 lakh (ex-showroom), this MPV might compete with the Maruti Ertiga, Kia Carens, Maruti XL6, and other such vehicles.

Moreover, its powertrain might work in tandem with the Kia Carens. Similarly, there may be a choice of a diesel engine and two petrol engine alternatives. In addition, technologies like a sizable infotainment screen, digital instrument panel, roof-mounted air vents, wireless charging, and more are expected to be introduced!

Toyota Innova HyCross:

Maruti:

As we know that Toyota and Maruti are in a partnership, the Toyota Innova HyCross’ rebadging as Maruti’s most costly MPV is likely to come soon. This new Innova model from Maruti could prioritise the robust hybrid powertrain over the pure petrol alternative (similar case seen on the Grand Vitara and Urban Cruiser HyRyder). A panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, an ottoman-style back seat, smartphone connectivity, and more features are probably still on the feature list.

Citroen:

Citroen, a new entrant in the Indian automobile industry, is eager to come up with an affordable MPV vehicle. Moreover, this new MPV is anticipated to be the C3’s “AirCross” variant, which might have an extra third row of seating, more equipment, and even a turbocharged gasoline engine choice. Notably, this might potentially be adjusted by the French automaker, which is renowned for its outstanding suspension setups. It may turn out to be the most comfortable MPV in its class!

Nissan:

One of the well known automobile manufacturers Nissan, has recently made the X-Trail public. The new flagship SUV from the Japanese automaker will probably go on sale the following year. This new SUV is expected to compete with the perennially well-liked Toyota Fortuner (which is also likely to get updated). With its “e-POWER” and “e-4orce” models, the new X-Trail would introduce petrol hybrid alternatives in this category.

Additionally, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an automated parking brake, a Heads-Up Display, a panoramic sunroof, and many other features are expected to be seen in this upcoming model!

MG:

By the end of this year, the new MG Hector is most likely to be introduced. This new vehicle is expected to maintain its vast list of technological features and add a few more. Notably, many other amenities like a 14-inch infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and soft-touch materials are also likely to be introduced! However, its engine specifications are expected to stay the same, though MG may now provide a diesel automatic option.

Toyota Fortuner:

As per the recent reports, Toyota is developing a new version of its most popular model Fortuner!. The new Fortuner would be built by the Japanese automaker using its TNGA-F modular design as a starting point. In addition, the company plans to include mild hybrid technology in this upcoming variant.

Moreover, the next-generation Fortuner is likely to add numerous features since the current model fell short on them. As per the information, the redesigned Fortuner includes an upgraded infotainment system, multicolor ambient lighting, a sunroof, and a digital instrument cluster!

Force Gurkha:

Force is well known for its model names “Gurkha”. Notably, the Gurkha 5-door has recently been on display by Force at an Indonesian Expo. As per the information, the new 5-door model will face off against the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny 5-door whenever they’re brought in.

Moreover, Force might also allow the Gurkha to sit in the third row in order to increase its VFM bias. Furthermore, this will boost its total usefulness, and if the manufacturer is successful in adding further amenities, this vehicle may be the ideal option for lifestyle offroaders!

Tata Safari Facelift:

Tata Safari is one of the most famous and long used 7-seater vehicles in India. Reportedly, the company has been working on the makeover of this model. The Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio-N, and other alluring items on the market affected Tata’s top-of-the-line SUV. Furthermore, the company is expected to make a fantastic comeback with the Safari facelift.

More features, such a larger touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, ADAS, etc., are probably coming with the updated model. In order to keep the beginning expenses lower, Tata may also offer a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine in the Safari.

Maruti Jimny 5-door:

The gypsy lovers have been waiting for the company to come up with something similar! Notably, Maruti Jimny 5-door, one of the most eagerly awaited debuts this year, is expected to debut at the Indian Auto Expo in 2023 from India’s top automaker. The famous Maruti Gypsy will be replaced by this vehicle, which will be marketed through the Nexa premium dealerships.

The wheelbase of this 5-door version is 300mm longer than that of the 3-door version, therefore a third row of seating may be an option. The Jimny’s powertrain options could include a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol unit producing 138 horsepower. In this lifestyle offroader, Maruti would also provide the “All Grip Pro” 4WD technology.
