Virender Sehwag Says “Bye Bye Pakistan”, But Got ‘Brand Ambassador Of Gutka Company” In Reply

Pakistan’s aspirations for a spot in the World Cup semifinals after 12 years rested on Sri Lanka. However, New Zealand’s swift chase of the modest 172-run target against the 1996 champions in Bengaluru virtually eliminated Pakistan from the tournament, securing New Zealand’s place in the semifinals.

Pakistan still has a slim chance for the semis, but to surpass New Zealand’s net run rate, they must beat England by 287 runs or more when batting first. If bowling first, they face an almost impossible task of chasing down targets within a limited number of overs. For example, approximately 3.4 overs for 150 runs and 5.2 overs for 250 runs.

As Pakistan prepares for a challenging qualification scenario in their match against struggling England, the renowned batsman Virender Sehwag posted a scathing comment about the team led by Babar Azam.

Sehwag took to twitter and wrote, “Pakistan Zindabad! Have a safe flight back home.”

However, Sehwag faced trolling as a user responded critically saying,”I don’t think cricketers should troll. Leave the trolling on us. But you can do it. After all you are the brand ambassador of a gutka company”

Moreover, Sehwag further wrote: “Pakistan ki khaas baat hai ki jis team ko Pakistan support karti hai, woh team Pakistan ki tarah khelne lagti hai (One special thing about Pakistan is that whichever team they support that side begins to play like Sri Lanka). Sorry Sri Lanka.”
