You must have heard about Black Holes right? Some of you may have also read a lot of things about black holes. But have you ever wondered what will happen to our planet if a black hits earth?
To know the aftermath scenario of a black hole hitting earth, we first must know what exactly is a black hole and how dangerous it is. So Black holes are basically regions in space where an enormous amount of mass is packed into a tiny volume, which creates a very strong gravitational pull that even light fails to escape. Black Holes are created when giant stars collapse, and perhaps by some other methods that are still unknown.
As even light fails to escape the black hole, how can a planet or a star pull off the task. Now let’s discuss the after scenario if a black hits our planet.
A theory suggests that, if a black hole hit planet earth, it would directly pass into earth’s surface and will settle down inside earth’s core. After settling down in earth’s core, the black hole will eat the entire planet in a very less time.
Another theory suggests that a black hole will strike earth in the same manner an asteroid will. But a black hole will produce a much larger amount of energy and radiation as compared to any asteroid. However, some theories say that black hole will simply pass straight through the entire Earth and exit the other side.
Well, the chances of a black hole hitting earth is very small but the craziest theories of all will shock you as it says, a primordial black hole could have already hit earth in the past…
