December is here and it is the time to check on and unwrap everything you did throughout this year. Spotify did the same and released the Top Charts of every category we witnessed on the music listening app.
Spotify has released the ‘Unwrapped 2021’ feature on the app and made everyone go through the most streamed artists and songs they have stuck on throughout the year. However, apart from the individual users data the music app released the Top 5 Charts of the Top Indian Songs and Albums of 2021 and to your surprise our Punjabi music has made the spot in each category.

The 2020-released superhit song ‘Brown Munde’ has been positioned at 3 in the Spotify ‘Top 5 Songs India’ charts. Brown Munde by AP Dhillon, Shinda Kahlon and Gurinder Gill has over 86 Million streams on the app. Also, B Praak’s song ‘Ranjha’ from Shershaah has also marked a spot in the list. Here is the list of the Top 5 Indian Songs with the number of plays.

As many albums from the Punjabi industry were released in the year 2021, Sidhu Moosewala’s Moosetape has made it to number 3 in the ‘Top 5 Albums’ charts. Moosetape has crossed more than 150 Million streams on Spotify making it the only Punjabi album marking its spot in the Top 5 Indian Albums charts.
This year has been prolific in many ways for the Punjabi industry. With almost every singer releasing its album Moosetape made it all the way through it reached in the Top 5 Indian Albums and Brown Munde by AP Dhillon, Shinda Kahlon, Gurinder Gill has been ruling the charts since almost a year now.
