When Bollywood Actor Varun Dhawan Appreciated Jagdeep Sidhu For His Debut Film, Qismat

Jagdeep Sidhu who marked his directorial debut with the superhit movie Qismat, collected so much appreciation not only from the audience but also from various big names of Pollywood and Bollywood at that time. It is very well known that neither Ammy Virk was the first choice for Qismat nor it was meant to be a punjabi film earlier. Bollywood actors Sushant Singh Rajput, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan, Aditya Roy Kapoor & Ayushmaan Khurana from the B-Town were the foremost choices of Jagdeep Sidhu to play the lead in Qismat which was to be made in Hindi. But somehow it didn’t work and Jagdeep ended up making the film in Punjabi starring Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta in the lead roles.

Recently, In an interview Jagdeep Sidhu opened up about the time when his debut film Qismat was released a week before the release of Varun’s film Sui Dhaaga: Made In India and Varun called Jagdeep Sidhu and admired his work. Because of the consecutive release of both the films, Sui Dhaaga couldn’t do well in Punjab and Delhi as Qismat was running successfully in the cinemas which affected the box office performance of Varun’s film.

Getting to know about the condition, Varun Dhawan called Punjabi producers, Aman Gill and Pawan Gill for the same and questioned about Jagdeep’s movie. Hearing from Jagdeep, Aman Gill made Varun talk to him and Jagdeep reminded Dhawan that it is the same film which he narrated to Varun long ago. Hearing this Varun was shocked and congratulated him for the movie
