The collaboration between Bollywood and Punjabi Film Industries is no longer a surprising thing. The fans have accepted this and have been giving massive love to this trend. And Diljit Dosanjh is surely one Punjabi actor who has marked a special place for himself in Bollywood. He has acted in movies like Good Newwz, Udta Punjab, Jogi and more. And now, the actor reportedly will be next seen in the Bollywood biopic of the late Punjabi folk singer Chamkila.
The film is being directed by brilliant filmmaker Imtiaz Ali who has helmed beautiful projects like Highway, Love Aaj Kal, Laila Majnu, Tamasha and more. Though this Chamkila’s biopic has not been officially announced yet, the film is already making a lot of buzz all around. Diljit recently took it to his Instagram account and shared a set of four pictures with filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and musical legend A.R. Rahman. He summed up the caption in a phrase by writing, ‘With LEGENDS’.
Though Diljit did not reveal any information or any clue about the probable collaboration, our source revealed this meet-up is concerned with an upcoming Bollywood movie which roots in Punjab.

Coming to more details and information about the Bollywood biopic on Chamkila’s life, it is reported that Parineeti Chopra has been roped in to play the lead role opposite Diljit Dosanjh.

Earlier Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan were in news to play Chamkila on screen, but they were replaced by Punjab’s own talent; Diljit Dosanjh. On the other hand, Imtiaz Ali also had a meeting with Amar Singh Chamkila’s son Jaiman Chamkila to discuss his late parents.
