Fatima Sana Shaikh To Play Indira Gandhi In Upcoming Movie Sam Bahadur, Starring Vicky Kaushal And Sanya Malhotra

The ‘Dangal Girls’, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra are the fresh addition to the starcast of Vicky Kaushal led ‘Sam Bahadur’. The makers of Sam Bahadur released the first look of the film in April but the updates of it were paused since then and now it got resumed as the latest update about the film is the newest additions. 

Vicky Kaushal shared the latest news related to the film and welcomed the two female leading characters of the film, Sam Bahadur. Vicky will be playing the titular role in the film and Raazi director Meghna Gulzar will be the head of the ship as she will play her part as the director in the upcoming movie. 

Sanya Malhotra will portray the role of Silloo Manekshaw, Field Marshal Sam Bahadur’s (Vicky Kaushal) wife whereas, Fatima Sana Shaikh will play the role of former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.  

The film is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw, who is popularly known as Sam Manekshaw and Sam Bahadur. The late Sam Bahadur was the first Indian Army Officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. He was the chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971.

Vicky Kaushal even shared his look from this upcoming film way back and looked very identical to the late Sam Bahadur. Fatima Sana Shaikh will be an amazing addition as she will portray the role of former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, on screen.
