Preity Zinta Described An Incident When She Made 120 Aloo Parathas For The Kings Punjab Team

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is not just about cricket but also about the entertainment factor it brings to the table. The league has witnessed several celebrities who either endorse or own some of the most prominent teams. 

Among them is the veteran Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, who co-owns Punjab Kings, formerly known as Kings XI Punjab. Preity recently revealed an interesting and hilarious incident that occurred during one of the earlier editions of IPL.

In an interaction with Star Sports, the actress revealed that she had made 120 aloo parathas for the team, which was a hit among the players; this took place during the second season of the IPL in 2009, which was held in South Africa amid the Lok Sabha Elections in India. Hence, the team naturally carved Indian food, and the hotel food wasn’t good. So, while teaching the players how to make one, the actress ended up making 120 paranthas for the team.

Priety describes the incident by stating, “First time I realized, like khanate kitne hai (how much do the boys eat). We were in South Africa, and the hotel staff served a take saddle (bad and soggy). Then I told them, ‘I will teach you to make aloo paratha. Seeing that, the boys asked if I could make all the paranthas for them. I told them I would make aloo parathas if they won the next match. They won it. Then I made 120 aloo parathas. After that, I have stopped making aloo parathas,”
