Is Punjab Only A Drug State?: Ranjit Bawa Lashes Out At Bollywood Movie Good Luck Jerry

Punjabi singer Ranjit Bawa has recently lashed out at the makers of the Bollywood movie Good Luck Jerry. Ranjit seems not so pleased with the portrayal of Punjab as a drug-affected state in the movie. 

Ranjit Bawa is a popular Punjabi artist who is known for his commendable singing and acting skills. But all his fans know that he is also quite popular for raising his voice and keeping his opinion upfront.

Now also, Ranjit has used his Twitter account to speak against the derogatory portrayal of Punjab in a Bollywood movie. Ranjit tweeted, “#Goodluckjeery movie vich Ek vaar fir Panjab nu Chiitta ( Nasha ) wala dikhaya gya 😡panjab Nu bus hun bollywood movies vich drug state hi dekhaoge ?”

In his tweet, Ranjit first slammed Jahnvi Kapoor’s recently released movie Good Luck Jerry and then went on to raise a question to the Bollywood film industry. He asked if they will only portray Punjab as a drug-affected state in every Bollywood movie.

Ranjit’s tweet went viral and grabbed the attention of netizens. Some people have stepped ahead to stand by his statement while others believe the film has portrayed the reality of Punjab.
