The title of the upcoming Bollywood movie starring Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role has been changed from Durgavati to Durgamati The Myth. There is no confirmed reason behind this yet. The film is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Akshay Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar.
Durgavati is actually the official hindi remake of Tamil-Telugu film Bhagamathie which was directed by G. Ashok, who is also directing it’s hindi remake. Other than Bhumi Pednekar, Arshad Warsi and Jisshu Sengupta will be seen playing important characters in the movie as well.
The team of the film has shared the poster on their social media accounts including Akshay kumar and Bhumi Pednekar. Akshay wrote, “Are you ready? Meet Durgamati on Prime on December 11,” wrote Akshay Kumar.”
Whereas Bhumi wrote,
“आ रही है… #DURGAMATI”
The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video on 11th December. Looking at the intensity of Bhumi in the poster it seems the film will have a lot of thrill into it. But the same were the expectations of the audience from Akshay starrer Laxmi which received an average reaction. We hope this film does some wonders and provide the audience with some good dose of entertainment.
